It helps you build a better you by helping the reader understand that good and bad habits can have such a gigantic impact on your life. No matter how big or small a habit is, when built upon another and another like an atom, they can add up and significantly change your life.

I've read some of the other habit books, but, James Clear really puts it all together well. I also like how modest he comes across both in his writing and in videos - his success couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

He has wonderful stories of other successful people and how implementing habits created a positive life experience for them. It is a relatable and practical guide to changing your life by changing your habits. This will be a great reference for me now and me in the future.

    Sometimes you read a book and feel motivated and excited about what you just learned…then you forget the majority of it (except for the “good” parts) within a week or two. James Clear has made it obvious that habits are important. He’s also taken the idea of building simple habits one small step at a time and made that idea attractive. Those small atomic habits we form like reading a page a day can make it easy to understand the concepts of a book on a deeper level, and that is really what makes Atomic Habits so satisfying. Great read. This book can change the way you do life if you let it. Following the simple steps later out, I have already improved my life over the last 10 days! Can’t wait to see what comes next!

    I have read this book at least three times. Every time I read it, I enjoy the ease of the read as I layer in another nugget that assists with changing either mindset or behavior. If you want to change some things in your life, this book is one of the best regarding the mindset behind habit change. I have heard that it takes brilliance to make a complex idea simple, and James Clear has made the action easier with a focus on the mindset and why behind initiating change. I read this followed by BJ Fogg's Tiny Habits, and successfully created significant behavioral shifts in areas where I previously struggled. Obviously, change only happens if someone is willing to take the necessary actions to implement the desired outcome.

    This book was a great read a few years back when I initially picked it up (both in physical and audio format), but I find that it's useful even more as I put things into practice. It's easy to understand, and I find myself talking about points with friends, coworkers and my children. I signed up for additional e-mails, and like getting those to help keep me on track with my habits, and to learn new things. I gave this as a Christmas gift to many people a year ago and it's been fun to reflect on what others have gotten out of it, and to surround myself with people who also want to build better habits and can help encourage me in building mine. I think this book will be a yearly re-read for me for a long time to come!

    Taking a step, any step, towards something you treasure, be it order, peace of mind, health, or reclaiming time, is difficult for many of us. James Clear has been there too, and shares the best learnings of his journey in bite size pieces, knowing that progress is itself encouragement. There's an appeal of formulas, templates and simply writing it all down. This isn't the work of course, that's left to us. But having a coach (the book), his wonderful 3-2-1 newsletter, and many resources are nudges to persevere, be the best you can be, step by step, habit by habit, until, looking back, you see it has worked.
